MYOB Express: Minding Your Own Business

Life is full of change - we can’t control it, we can’t decide when or how change will occur, we can only control how we receive these changes. For me, so many changes this year. On the exciting side, leaving a job that no longer served me and being completely willing to let go and be divinely guided to the “next phase” of my life. And change is definitely on the horizon. You will see changes to this website, changes to the way that we do business and changes to the services that will be offered here (these are changes I find so exciting I can hardly contain myself!!).

On the “wish I could control these changes” side, there are my aging parents who are my foundation, my pillars of support and love, they are the breath of my life. Paying witness to the changes that they must endure each day, from failing health to a disappointing system of support within their community is more than my heart can endure. I live 265 miles north of them and if not for the full life that I live here, I would be there 7-days a week helping and returning the support and love that they have so unselfishly given me.  I see the love, the commitment and the partnership that my parents share and I am moved. They are taking it all in stride and some days are good where others are not so great, but they take it all in stride. For me, I tap into the vast well of gratitude that I feel for who they are, how they have deeply impacted my life with their example and how even in these difficult times, they demonstrate unconditional love for our family and for each other. Thanks Mom and Dad - you are my amazing beacons and I love you!
