MYOB Express: Minding Your Own Business

Is customer service slipping or am I crazy? The experiences that stick most vividly in my mind are those that really blow my socks off or those that disappoint in a shocking manner. Most of what’s in between I simply don’t notice. I for one feel most excited when I make a big bang (in a good way). Working with others day-to-day, I’m surprised how often I am disappointed with the results I get and the feeling I’ve just been hung out to dry. When a business connection doesn’t dazzle me with their brilliance, I usually move on to someone who will. And I am surprised (and disappointed) at those who promise me the moon, but in the end, can only give me a used shuttle ticket. I’m not looking for a mediocre business partner, I’m searching for one who is exceptional in results. Let’s agree to be amazing in our efforts each day, so others will be dazzled by our brilliance!

I’ve been feeling the strongest urge to engage in some new activity or creative venture to add new and interesting exploration to my experience. Perhaps I’ll take a class in oil painting or watercolor, something I’ve always thought I would enjoy. Maybe a photography class to expand an already strong interest there. Or I could learn to fly, something I’ve always wanted to learn. These are just a few of the creative endeavors I’ve thought I would enjoy. It’s time to start engaging in new and unexplored creative adventures. How about you? What new creative outlets will you enjoy?
